Using the Wizard to create a Case

Using The Wizard.

To create a Case with the "Wizard", click on the "Wizard" button on the ribbon menu. You will find this in the top left hand corner of your home screen.

Wizard Screen 1

(Right click image and open in new tab to view full size)

The Wizard first screen sets up most of the data.
At the top of the screen, are tabs that indicate where you are in the Wizard process.

"SOB" (source of business) can be selected for analysis of works sources later, this is optional.

If you have the Registration Number, enter it here and select Estimate Type. Depending on the Estimate Type, the main panel of this screen may change (if not an Insurance Estimate, Insurance Co will not be displayed).

For an Insurance estimate, select the insurer to be used. Each Insurer is linked to a default Scheme, but can be changed on this screen if necessary
Each Insurer is linked to a default Times Style. This can also be changed here in required. When all the necessary selections have been made, press the "Select" button to move to the next screen.

  • Note*  If the vehicle has been in before, the previous details will be used and the Display Vehicle selection screen may be skipped. Where the vehicle has been in before, the Wizard will stop at the Case screen. If more than one owner/driver has been in with this vehicle, a selection can be made for the owner/driver. Contact details for the owner/driver will be populated automatically.

Wizard Screen 2

  • Note* "Case Vehicle" tab will be skipped upon new entries, this is normal.

Screen 2 selects the Display Vehicle. The left hand panel is the Search panel. Searching retrieves a limited number of records from the database and makes filtering much quicker. To execute the search, choose Body Type and/or Year and press the "Find" button at the bottom of the panel. Alternatively, you may simply type it in the Search bar and press "Find."

At the top of the screen is the Filter Panel. Filtering happens automatically as you type text into the two Filter fields. Model Info filters data from the Family, Series and Variant fields in the grid

VIN Pattern filtering uses the VIN pattern data provided by Glass's

Wizard Screen 3

The third screen is the Times Style Vehicle screen.
Although similar in layout to the Display Vehicle screen, it does not have a Search Panel on the left. Instead, the details of the Display Vehicle are carried forward and have check-boxes to match to the Times Style data.

At the top in the Filter area, "Manufacturer" appears. Where there is no Times Style Vehicle match for the actual vehicle being worked on, another similar vehicle may sometimes be used (check with the assessor to agree on a vehicle). Where another vehicle needs to be selected, the "Manufacturer" check-box on the left hand match panel can be removed and another Manufacturer selected.

Once the correct vehicle has been found, highlight the row and press "Select" to move to the next screen. If the work provider selected doesn't use Times Style Vehicles, this screen can be skipped.
